Azeroth Saved, Cataclysm Reflected:

Cataclysm has been an interesting expansion for us. We saw two of our favorite guilds retire in Might & Fusion, and a birth of a new home in Supermassive. The uphill battle of progression while bearing the burdens of carrying on the legacies of two amazing guilds is not something to be looked at lightly but we are on the right track. Success is earned, not given. We will continue to aim higher to fulfill our goals. We are where we are thanks to everyone involved; officers, members, recruits, retired members, friends. Great job to everyone in Supermassive. While this chapter of World of Warcraft closes, another opens in Mists of Pandaria. Looks like we still have some work to do!

Recruitment:

With the end of Cataclyzm and Azeroth safe, we're looking for like-minded individuals to raid with us in Mists of Pandaria. We believe we have a lot to offer to intelligent raiders. We are recruiting all classes. Players interested should check out the recruitment page for more information.

Hey we killed this thing. US 8th 25man, World 31st 25man.

It has been some time since our last update. Things have been pretty smooth here at Supermassive and so far our guys have done a good job getting to 6/8 heroic and US 8th in 25man. Obviously we feel that we can do better and will do our best in order to do so moving forward.

We're currently looking for the following players/classes to join us and help us move forward as a team:

1 Mage, 1 Rogue, 1 Discipline/Holy Priest, 1 Shadow Priest / Warlock, & 1 DPS Death Knight / Enhancement Shaman.

As trivial as this sounds, when the first week of Dragon Soul had concluded, we've received a lot of questionnaire about our raid week. I'll try to answer a few.

First of many questions were involving the LFR exploits, and I can confidently say that we did not exploit it by any means. Some people noted that we had several people in 4pc tier 13 set such as a tank and a mage. What those people didn't realize is that none of the 4pc on our tank was LFR gear and only one was for the mage. We generally tend to gear out our tanks first so it's a far more likely that they would get 4pc before anyone else and we just happened to get real lucky. Our lack of ban proves that. We knew about the exploit, we just chose not to do it.

Second question was regarding our normal clear of Dragon Soul. We raided on Tuesday 3/8 bosses and both of our rogues got the pickpocket off Hagara. Because the next step in acquiring rogue legendary involves waiting for 12 hours, we stopped clear there. This way on Wednesday and Thursday, both rogues could collect gems and basically allowing one of our rogues to have 5 more bosses worth of gems before others.

Lastly, there were questions about our 10mans. Due to the extreme difference in difficulty between 25man and 10man raiding, our alt raid (using only our alts) were able to get some decent ranked 10man heroic kills. This is neither intended or planned to supplement our rankings in Dragon Soul. Obviously we are a 25man guild and we would never think about or imagine sticking mains in a 10man to try to boost rating unfairly (wink, looking at some of you out there).

Heroic Ragnaros is dead finally and we're 7/7 Heroic. WoWProgress says US 16th 25man but who knows if that's accurate! WowTrack says US 15th, so we'll go with that! Thank you everyone for your support. Video coming soon™!

This tier has been especially interesting due to the unusual mix of composition needed for each encounter. Every tier brings a new challenge and I would like to personally thank everyone who have helped us progress, on behalf of the rest of the guild. Whether you were a trial, member, or a friend who helped out, all this is possible due to everyone's hard work. What makes an MMO like WoW great is the friendship and camaraderie you build with your guildmates and I am truly fortunate to be around friends who share my interest and put those values at the highest value.

Also: We are currently looking to add few players to our roster. These are fulltime spots and we do not recruit for bench. We're always looking for anyone exceptional, but especially looking for:

DPS Death Knight, DPS Warrior, Rogue, Holy Paladin, and Shadow Priest.
